A parallel world to our own, where our plastic waste ends up and starts to live a life of its own. Your average typical plastic family - the Polyethyls - where the siblings T-Ruth, Roland and Aki deal with the everyday issues of your average plastic teenager. The evil (or just misunderstood?) antagonist Fex plotting his secret schemes for domination of the plastic city. This is the setting for, and the characters behind: Plastikulture!
Plastikulture tells the story of the Polyethyl siblings - T-Ruth (the popular big sister, originally named Ruth - until an inkblot on the birth certificate, and a whole lot of bureaucratic red tape, forced her parents to rename her), Roland (the wannabe rock god, taking any afterschool job he can get to raise enough money to upgrade his guitar) and Aki (the lonely little brother, who never leaves home without his pet fish) - and their everyday life as teenagers in the plastic city. The story is told through the Plastikulture website (www.plastikulture.com) and through a number of mobile games, available for a wide range of Motorola handsets.
Plastikulture was created by PlayCom Game Design AB for MTV International. The games are available for several Motorola handsets, including the C650, V300, V525 (Europe) and E398.
